Council votes 4-3 in favor of rate increase |

The Colton City Council voted 4-3 to raise the cities electrical rates 16.7% over the next eight months. Voting in favor of the rate increase was Mayor Kelly Chastain, District 3 Councilmember Vince Yzaguirre, District 4 Councilmember Susan Oliva and District 6 Councilmember Alex Perez. District 1 Councilmember David Toro, District 2 Councilmember Richard DeLaRosa and District 5 Councilmember Dierdre Bennett all voted against the increase.
